Join local choreographer Emma Jayne Park (Cultured Mongrel) and James Fogerty (Got To Dance/ Sin Cru), as they create an outdoor dance spectacle inspired by Climate Change Protests, Extinction Rebellion and Fridays for Futures to celebrate Storm coming to Dumfries.

We are on the look out for some brilliant freelance individuals to work with us on our upcoming Pop-up Season across D&G between July - November 2021!

Dumfries and Galloway dance is looking to recruit three dancers with over three years touring/performance experience, who have a relationship to or are based in Scotland, for a six month contract June-November 2021. Fixed fee £13,200, accommodation and travel provided where required.

Hothouse is a FREE online choreographic training programme for ages 14 – 21 run by YDance in partnership with Scottish Ballet and regional partners in Dundee, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Paisley (but open to anyone from or living in Scotland) which is designed to inspire and develop the next generation of choreographers.

Project Y SCREEN is an exciting new programme offering young dancers aged 16 – 25 a unique experience to learn more about creating movement for camera and developing personal choreography skills in unique spaces.

This is an invitation to young dancers across Dumfries and Galloway to contribute to a new short film, created in collaboration between Dumfries and Galloway Dance and Paragon Music. Would YOU like to be part of this film? Simply create a short clip of yourself dancing, and send it to us for inclusion.

We are inviting proposals from dance artists to show their preexisting work as part of the D&G Online Watch Party programme across Dumfries and Galloway.

In August 2020 we held two online consultations via Zoom. The aim was to share some of the details of this project, to invite comments, questions and alternative perspectives, to sense-check how the project had evolved in light of COVID and the new circumstances we all find ourselves facing, and to (re)connect with partners, allies and interested parties who we might not have seen much of over the past six months. In interesting and wide-ranging discussions, here are some of the things that stood out for us:
