Dance for Camera - collaboration with Paragon Music

Paragon provide the music, we created the movement and then it was shared as part of a public event in March 2021.

Watch our dance video that was streamed on the night. Filmed in and around D&G, it features our three talented Dance Advocates, Catherine, Blair, and Rachel.

Burnt Out - Collaboration with Penny Chivas

Weaving spoken word and movement, we are taken through Australia's fiery history including Penny's own experiences. Embedded in sound is the Australian Black Summer; magpies that have learnt to mimic emergency sirens, shark sirens and helicopters circling overhead.

With original music by Paul Michael Henry, interwoven with the delicately detailed lighting design of David Bowes, this is an autobiographical dance-theatre work from the daughter of an environmental geochemist, bringing together fact and personal account. 'Burnt Out' is at once an intimate personal story and a universal meditation on our changing climate.

This digital filmed version was made by Alan Paterson, and recorded in Tramway's T4 theatre.

Penny wishes to acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the land involved in the work and to pay her respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders; past, present and future.

Digital Filmed Version made in association with Dumfries & Galloway Dance and Scottish Dance Theatre. Development supported by: The Work Room, Dance City, Dance Base, Tramway, Lyra, and the CCA.
